Pride & Prejudice rock star style? What's not to love??? In fairness, the one bit that bugged me was some of the writing style. Not enough contractions for a contemporary book. Also, there seemed to be some attempt to keep endearments and speech patterns old school. It's my first by the author, so I'm not sure if that's her style or just an attempt to emulate Austen a bit. The story is long, there's looooots of sex, and plenty of cheesy dialogue. None of this bothered me. At all. I can completely understand why it WOULD be bothersome, and if you're not a die-hard P&P fan, you might want to avoid this one. That said, I love P&P, and this was an entertaining read for me.
