The Reason I Jump: The Inner Voice of a Thirteen-Year-Old Boy with Autism

The Reason I Jump: The Inner Voice of a Thirteen-Year-Old Boy with Autism - Naoki Higashida, K.A. Yoshida, David Mitchell This is the most touching and rare story I've had the privilege to read. I was brought to tears multiple times throughout the book. Naoki gives readers the gift of seeing inside the motivations and thoughts of an autistic child. I can't imagine how difficult this was to write, but I feel honored to read it. I wanted to hug Naoki time and again while reading.

I hardly ever find myself finishing a nonfiction book. Much as I may be interested, I don't usually have the attention-span. This book was an exception, and I'm planning to re-read soon.
